4. TRUTH. In Brazil, a program installed in laptop computers is
dispensing justice on the streets--minutes after a traffic
incident takes place. After pulling over the driver, police alert
a member of the Rapid Justice team, who arrives on the scene with
the computer. Answers to straightforward questions like "Did the
driver stop at the red light?" are fed into the laptop. The
computer then prints out a judgment, gives its reasoning and
even recommends a jail sentence if needed (source: Thanx to

5. TRUTH. Anthropologists in Tanzania have discovered signs of
toothpick use at a site where human remains dating back as far as
1.8 million years have been unearthed. The researchers say
toothpicks became common about the same time early man began
eating meat. The tool consisted of bone or grit attached to a
stick (source: American Association of Physical Anthropology). It
took another 1.799 million years or so to add mint flavoring:)

6. TRUTH. Another bunch of scientists just completed a study of
baby talk around the world. They found that babies make the same
pattern of sounds, whether they live in Europe, Japan, South
America or elsewhere. Even more astounding, these sounds resemble
what linguists think may have been the original human
language--the first one invented by primitive humans. The reason
why babies and cavemen talk alike? The sounds are easy to make,
say researchers from the University of Texas (source: Science
magazine).
